Puppy has been with his mommy's family for 2 generations. He was attacked by dogs on several occasions. His mommy wanted him to go to her niece and Puppy would start a new life with the 3rd generation of the family.
However, poor Puppy was in terrible shape! Holes, tears, rips, no eyes, no nose, most fur gone.... He needed help!
We give you here some of the steps to bring him to good health. Enjoy them!
RESTORATION PROCESS
PICS 1 to 3: views of Puppy's problem
PICS 4-5: The stuffing is removed before the bathing process starts. It takes several soaking sessions in mild soap to remove the dirt accumulated from years
PIC 6: He is taken apart to replace the white fur on the middle and to remake his face
PICS 7-8: We are reinforcing the back of the badly worn plush with strong stretchy fabric
PICS 9-11: We continue reinforcing all of the plush on the inside, and we are adding pieces of vintage plush to the outside
PIC 12: White new piece was sewn in place and he has now face and nose
PIC 13: New stuffing and eyes were added
Special metallic brush was used to bring the fur back to life (we don't recommend to use it unless you are trained to do it, as severe damage to the fur can happen
PICS 14-17 show him with all of the new plush added to his body and blended into the old fur with the special brush. Some bare spots are left to keep his "special vintage look". Fabric is well reinforced on the back.
PUPPY is ready! He is all soft and huggable. New ribbon to go back to his Mommy!
